History

Marion Barry is:
Brando Calrissian - Drums/Vocals/Noise/Samples
George Thrashington - Guitar/Vocals/FX
D(stroyer) Johnston - Noise/Bass

Marion Barry was formed in 2005 by Brando, George & Matt in Long Beach CA. The played in practice sessions for 2 years and never recorded anything. Matt left the band leaving Marion Barry as a 2 piece guitar/drums combo. In 2007 MB recorded "Smoke You Out". In 2007 MB recorded "Black Power Violence" for J.Randall and his yet unnamed net label. Both would be part of the inaugural releases for the now titled Grindcore Karaoke net label in January of 2011. In 2009 MB recorded 5 tracks for Scott Hull's This Comp Kills Fascists Vol.2 which was released in 2010. Later in 2010 MB (now as a 3 piece with new member Dustin ) recorded several more songs for a split release and some comps but the songs, stored on a hard drive, became damaged. There is still hope for recovering these songs. 2012 should yield several more splits, a couple of special releases, and possibly a self titled 7" or lp.
